I am not a service tech, but I have worked with oil burner tech’s, Gas heating tech’s, Ref., AC tech’s, Mech Engineer, etc. 

My background in the industry started over 53 years ago working for Irving oil. I oversaw customers need for home heating and special oils for fishermen and contractors for their business. Arranging oil delivery and dispatching heating service techs.

I then moved on to be an Irving oil burner Service Dept manager for another location looking after their burner service dept, oil techs and oil tank Installation crew.

From here I moved to Steel & Engine Heating wholesaler working on IS sales of heating parts. I then took the position of purchasing/stock management and then on to OS Sales. 

After leaving Steel & Engine I worked for Kerr Controls, WWG, Train Atlantic and then to Yorkland Controls as OS sales before opening Yorklands first branch outside of Ontario to which I became branch manager. After several years of being branch manager, I decided to go back to OS Sales. I brought in 2 people that would run the branch, and I would go back to sales and then Business Development Manager. I retired Dec 31, 2024, and shortly there after I opened HVACR Placement Agency. I could not walk away from an industry that had been so good to me, and I know I enjoyed finding placements for several people for several years for fun with great success, so I thought why not keep doing it.

It is much better to know the industry that you are placing people in.
